DeWitt Non-Woven Geotextiles can be used as a stabilizing force to prevent unwanted movements in excavated areas such as roads, retaining walls, french drains, and embankments. 

This product is excellent for drainage and filtration of water in many landscape and construction applications in lighter weights up to 6 oz.

Key Functions: 

• Separation: non-woven geotextiles are placed between the subgrade soil and aggregate base to prevent the intermixing of materials. This maintains the integrity of each layer, ensuring the structural stability of the construction.
• Filtration: the geotextile acts like a filter by allowing water to pass through while retaining soil particles. This prevents clogging of the drainage system and reduces soil erosion.
• Drainage: non-woven geotextiles help direct groundwater or stormwater away from the structure and therefore facilitates the flow of water within the plane of the fabric. This reduces hydrostatic pressure and prolongs the life of the infrastructure.
• Reinforcement: non-woven geotextiles provide additional strength to weak subgrade soils by distributing loads more evenly and improving load-bearing capacity. This reinforcement minimizes rutting, settlement, and deformation, which enhances the durability and performance of the overall structure.
