DeWitt Filter Fabric

Description

DeWitt’s non-woven, needle punched Filter Fabric is used as soil stabilization and separation fabric. Filter Fabric can be used as a stabilizing force to prevent unwanted shifts or movements in excavated areas such as roads, sidewalks, patios, and embankments. This product is also excellent protection against damaging soil when placed around drainage pipes, retaining walls, and other buried or exposed fixtures.

We carry a variety of weights and sizes:

• 3.1 oz Filter Fabric: ideal for simple landscaping projects where water flow is high and stress is low, such as separating soil from gravel
  • 3.1 Oz. Spec. Sheet 

• 3.5 oz Filter Fabric: designed for heavier duty landscaping and light erosion control
  • 3.5 Oz. Spec. Sheet

• 4 oz Filter Fabric: strong all-purpose fabric used for moderate drainage and filtration needs (e.g., behind retaining walls, under driveways)
  • 4 Oz. Spec. Sheet 

• 6 oz Filter Fabric: extremely durable and best for heavy-duty applications, such as under large rock beds, driveways with frequent traffic, or steep slope stabilization
  • 6 Oz. Spec. Sheet 

DeWitt Filter Fabric is a needle-punched nonwoven geotextile made of 100% polypropylene staple fibers, which are formed into a random network for dimensional stability. This Filter Fabric resists UV deterioration, rotting, and biological degradation.
